Macgiriaght is the registered UK Kennel Club Affix of Frank Geraghty. We are based in Northumberland (UK).
Frank Geraghty has previously served in the Metropolitan Police Service in London, England. He served in areas such as Diplomatic Protection, Armed Response and Counter Terrorism. He retired in 2012 after 30 years of service. Frank is a member of the UKKC Kennel Club, a UKKC Field Trial Panel Judge for Spaniels, a UKKC Assessor for the UKKC Working Gundog Certificate, Previously a UKKC ABS Regional Breed Assessor for united kingdom. He has also trained and successfully campaigned the top all-rounder UK working Clumber Spaniel bitch “Flintwood Snowflake Macgiriaght”, the only bitch in living history to have won multiple Field Trials, an Open Gundog Working Test, be awarded the UK Working Gundog Certificate and win in the show ring at crufts against 27 other bitches. |
To top it all off she went on to gain working awards running against Springers and Cockers ! We have also bred the UK's Working Clumber of the year- 2013/14- "Macgiriaght Vindicator".
Frank is an experienced handler and trainer. He works his dogs on shoots, Beating, Flanking as well as part of the picking up team, He shoots over them himself and has competed in working/field events all over the UK. He is also an experienced adult educator who has been professionally qualified as a trainer / instructor in the UK Police Service. He is CRB / DBS cleared to work with children and young people and as such holds an advanced clearance certificate. Frank has professionally taught physical skills and class room subjects to a wide range of people. He has an easy going style and is adept at putting you at ease. Frank strongly believes in putting something back into the “sport” and the world of Gundogs. |
As such he is the “Field Chairman” for the “London Cocker Spaniel Society” and the “Chairman” of the "Working Minority Spaniel Breed Club". He has also previously served as a Field Trial Secretary for the UGS and LCSS, as well as Chairman of the CFTS. He is life member of the London Cocker Spaniel Society. Frank believes most strongly in the concepts of fair play, integrity and honesty . These principles are reflected in our dogs and any advice or training we deliver .
